Spring
Michelle Kay

The weather outside my window this February morning is cold, damp, and miserable.

It makes me wish for spring.

And when I think of spring many things come to mind.

Freshly picked grass, newly erupted flowers that have been buried in the ground as seeds. Cool breezes blowing through my hair and pretty spring dresses.

I look forward to Easter, one of my favorite holidays. With white bunnies and newly hatched baby chicks with their yellow fuzzy fur. I love to watch the children laughing with so much excitement over their Easter eggs in a rainbow of bright colors.

Spring brings me warm feelings of happiness that  are hard to explain. I can just look around at all of the new life: fat momma cats giving birth to their kittens and all of the new birds chirping away.

Spring is a great time for me because I will be out caring for my garden after the long winter and just enjoying the sunshine. I can’t wait until I am walking hand in hand with my three beautiful children and my wonderful husband enjoying the good times of spring.
